Bernd Stolz – Managing director and inventor

Bernd Stolz was literally born into the 'world of chiropody' through his parents' business - and began his career as a chiropodist there at the age of 14. A year later, he learnt how to use the Ross Fraser bilateral orthonyx brace in practice. Despite the generally good therapeutic success with the brace, he couldn't shake the thought: 'You can do much better than that!'

The visionary made this his mission. It was the birth of the BS brace - and from then on it was all about the technical realisation. After all kinds of thought processes and approaches, the idea of 'optimal bonding' crystallised as the best and most practicable solution - in practice and for practice. However, the search for the right material proved to be an extremely difficult task: all experiments with metal or conventional adhesives failed to achieve the desired result. Mission: Possible - in the end, glass fibre-reinforced thermoset led to the breakthrough!

'When you treat, you only take the best', this philosophy has been the code of honour of Bernd Stolz and his team ever since.

Computer-aided testing of bending strength, magnetic induction thickness control and permanent testing of adhesive strength - these are just three of the many criteria that guarantee the constant precision and reliable function of our B/S braces. In a nutshell: Criteria defined. Realised. Goals achieved!

Quality, precision and reliability are our top priorities in production. Production is constantly monitored and precisely documented. We manufacture the B/S brace to an accuracy of two thousandths of a millimetre. This specification is controlled magnetically inductively - so that the person who uses them can rely on the B/S braces 'always having the same forces'!
