The correction force of the B/S brace lasts approximately 4 weeks. The B/S brace should be renewed every four weeks until the nail has reached its healthy and flat shape.
As the nail is a natural product, it is possible that the B/S brace may come off suddenly due to external influences.

If the patient experiences an unpleasant feeling or pain, they should contact the specialist treating them.
Don't worry! The application is painless, as nothing is pushed into the sensitive lateral nail fold.
Slight pulling pain may occur after treatment. The resetting forces of the B/S brace are too strong and must be corrected promptly by the treating specialist. The patient should not feel the brace on the nail.
The bonding of the B/S brace may be affected for various reasons:
Slipping and repeated correction when pressing on: Repeated slipping and re-correcting when pressing on weakens the adhesion of the glue. Precise positioning is therefore crucial. Support yourself on the patient’s foot.
Expired B/S glue: If the B/S glue has expired (after 9 months), we recommend purchasing a new glue, as expired glue loses its effectiveness. The batch number of the glue can be found on the cap and is the expiration date. Example: batch number 1025, expiration date: October 2025. Tip: Freeze the adhesive! The shelf life of the glue is extended by the time it is kept in the freezer.
Too little B/S glue used: An insufficient amount of B/S glue may result in the brace not attaching sufficiently. Make sure that you use enough glue.
Insufficient grinding of the ends of the brace: If the tensile force of the brace is too strong after affixing it, just carefully grind both ends of the brace thinner. If necessary, grind the entire brace thinner. A precise correction at the brace ends prevents them from lifting off the nail.
Using too much of the B/S cleaner: Using too much B/S cleaner when cleaning the nail can affect adhesion. One drop on the swab is enough to clean the nail plate.
Diseased nails: B/S braces should not be applied to diseased nails, e.g. fungal disease, psoriasis, onycholysis, etc.
Drying out of the bottle content/Stringing: The B/S glue may lose its effectiveness if it comes into contact with the B/S activator (rapid dryer) and will get stringy.
Yes, you can apply B/S braces without previous training, as they do not get into the nail body and are only applied to the nail plate. Nevertheless, we offer training videos for the different systems, such as Classic, Magnet, Magnet+ and Quick as well as free instructions on our website.
You can charge the same amount for an application as for a conventional pedicure.
You can use the smallest brace size and shorten it. The smallest size would be the 14. It doesn't matter if you shorten it on the left, right or on both sides, you can also shorten the brace in width.
When the brace is shortened, please grind it thinner on the rough side. The rough side is the one that will be stuck on the nail.
Please note: When you shorten the brace, it becomes harder. You have to make it more elastic by roughening it, and you do that by removing the material.
The B/S brace should not be applied to children under the age of 6 years.
You must ask your patient if he feels an unpleasant pulling or tension pain.
A child under the age of 6 years can’t give you a real statement about the tension pain.
You can apply the B/S braces onto fingernails.
Please keep in mind that you must grind the brace much thinner than on the toenails.
