Physics of the B/S Brace:
What's behind it?
The Pressure & Counter-Pressure Principle
The pressure & counter-pressure principle utilizes a precise physical mechanism: The B/S brace is applied to the nail under tension, creating targeted pressure on the nail surface. In response, the elastic brace generates continuous counter-pressure (restoring force).
If a nail edge grows too deeply into the tissue, this counter-pressure gently lifts and straightens the nail edge. This directly corrects the cause of the pain without stressing the surrounding tissue.

Symmetrically curved nail:
The strongest curvature is located in the center of the nail. The counter-force acts precisely at this highest point, gently lifting the nail edges and distributing the pressure evenly.

Asymmetrically curved nail:
If the nail is unevenly curved, the counter-force automatically shifts to the area that requires the most correction. This precisely balances the nail curvature.
How it works
of the B/S brace
The B/S brace applies this physical law directly in practice:
In summary, the pressure and counter-pressure principle ensures that the B/S brace precisely, gently and continuously corrected, as the nail grows - the optimal combination of physical effect and continuous application.
01
The B/S brace is designed to exert gentle pressure on the nail after application.
02
In response, a precise counter-pressure is created, which gently lifts the nail edges and immediately reduces the painful pressure in the nail fold.
03
This principle effectively and painlessly guides the nail back to its natural flat shape.
04
The effect is dynamic: the brace automatically adapts to the individual nail curvature, whether symmetrical or asymmetrical.
